The Blessing That Was 2020 (Day 2)

Gift # 2: The Joy of Connection

I became active in social media and YouTube during the lockdown.  I have a website, which is evident because you are reading this article. This website was up for the past two years, but it was only during the lockdown that I became more active in updating my blogs—the same with my YouTube channel.

Of course, I do not aspire to earn from YouTube. It is only for those who have thousands of subscribers.

But I am very grateful if you like and subscribe to it. Here is the link to my YouTube channel cbleonline.org (just tap the link to visit my channel).

I find a sense of purpose in recording videos and sharing them with interested people.

Since many of my friends are not tech-savvy, I have to contend with this medium. I would have wanted to meet them via Zoom so that there is real-time interaction, but it was near impossibility for some.

By writing and recording videos, I continue to do my ministry of teaching the Word of God.

For me, those who are reading my articles and watching my videos are allowing me to be part of their lives. Their gift of time, which is becoming a rarity now that everything is now going back to “normalcy,” is valuable.

Connection is only made possible when we spend time. It is time that is the essential element in making a connection.

The lockdown made this possible because we realized that we have so much time on our hands. We do not even know what to do with so much time, and there is nothing to do.

Now that we are almost back to doing things as they are before the lockdown. Let us not forget that we can always have time if we want.
