Ruthless Scheming Quacks

It is easy to spot these “Ruthless Scheming Quacks” because they are “chronic informants.” This breed of hypocrites is always the first to report others’ fault to those in authority, claiming that it is for the greater good.
It was almost similar to the Roman Senators who assassinated Julius Caesar; these Roman senators praised Julius Caesar while they drove daggers into him.
As one of the senators claimed, “I love Caesar, but I love Rome more!”
Such breeds of two-faced hypocrites are very much alive today.
Of course, part of that greater good is to be in the good books of those who are in authority, wishing deep in these quacks’ hearts that they too will be promoted to positions of power and prestige.

Ambition, indeed, can make a person ruthless and scheming.
They would bring to the ears of the authorities the faults of other people while conveniently forgetting that they have secrets of their own.
These ruthless scheming quacks are the modern-day Herods.
Herod acquired his skills in “scheming” during his time in Rome, which also made him paranoid because any bad news about him to reach Rome can also destroy him.
Rome, after all, is filled with people who are so obsessed with “bella figura,” and they do not want to associate with people who are not skilled in the art of “two-face” diplomacy (smiling in front while stabbing the back).
Herod knew that the blade he used to hurt other people could also hurt him. Thus, any news that threatened his rule or ambition, he ruthlessly stopped, killing even his own family.
When the Magi went to Herod informing him of the birth of the “King of the Israelites,” he told the Magi to inform him when they will found the baby Jesus.
He pretended solicitude and worship, but deep in his heart, he just wanted the information of the baby’s whereabouts so that he can kill him.
Ironically, those who claim to be followers of Jesus are now the modern-day Herod who publicly proclaimed that they are concerned for the greater good.
The truth is that these ruthless scheming quacks are just looking for information to destroy others so that they can move a step nearer to their ambitions.
