Justice in a “Post-Truth” Era

Justice in a “radicalized” society is no longer about truth but about groups.
“Lady Justice” was supposedly blind because she has to judge according to pieces of evidence, regardless of who are involved.
Guilt is based on whether a crime was committed and whether there is evidence that will prove the commission of such a crime.
Until then, everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty, and the burden of proof is on the accuser.
Unfortunately, the American “Leftist” agenda has already invaded the people’s minds and institutional systems.
This “Leftist” agenda does not care about the “truth” but is more concerned with “group identification.”
In this highly perverted world, groups are pitted against each other.
It is “Marxism” on another level but more pernicious.
Sadly, it is more dangerous because authorities find this ideology very convenient for the sake of their agenda.
The “victim” is determined when a crime is proven to have occurred until then everything are allegations.
Truth has to be established before we can say that this is the “victim” and that this is the “criminal.”
Nowadays, merely claiming that you are “victim” would immediately push the accused as “guilty until proven innocent.”
Those “victims” just by claiming as such becomes “innocent” and “truthful.”
While the accused are immediately considered “guilty.”
This mindset “demonizes” one group while making “angels” those accusers who called themselves “victims.”
As a consequence of “preferred” attention on a particular group, you alienate and abandon the other.
The accused has no choice but to suffer the ignominy of being an accused, left at the mercy of those who have the audacity to judge others’ mistakes but not of their own.
The American radical left couched these dynamics in what is so-called “power differential.”
This implies that those who are in “power” whenever they are accused (whether it is true or false) are already guilty because they are in “positions of power.”
In a society where reputations are destroyed by “clicks” and with plenty of people who are eager to gain power (click here to read related article), this highly volatile mix of intrigues and calumny invite disaster rather than reform.
It is causing division and suspicion. Everyone is on the look out either to accuse or be accused.
Everyone is walking with a “Damocles sword” over one’s heads, which can snap at the faintest hint of intrigue.
Unfortunately, this poisonous vine of American Leftist Radicalism is slowly creeping into the Philippines introduced by those whose minds were formed by American ideologues who are masquerading as benevolent reformers.
It is doubly sad when this seemingly benign but dangerous mentality blinds those who are supposed to be discerning.
